The Truth About Our Ports

All of you have undoubtedly heard that our U.S. ports are being turned over to terrorists by Bush, correct? That is exactly what left-wing kook media would have you to believe. Let me break this down and show you the liberal agenda false reporting in these "news stories" and sift the out the incorrect from the real story.

This is NOT a national security issue. This transaction is not threatening our safety. Why? Here's why: The U.S. is not selling anything. The Dubai Ports World company, who previously ran the business aspect of these 6 U.S. ports, is being sold to the United Arab Emirates. This is simply a changing of ownership. We didn't hear elected liberals crying foul to this London-based company controlling the business aspect of these ports when they were based in the UK. If it's okay for a British company to work in our ports but we then throw out the Arabs when they purchase that company, that's flat-out racism.

If we spit in the face of the UAE by not honoring their contract, we alienate ourselves from the little support we had in the Arab world. Jordan, Kuwait, and the UAE are the United States' only real mid-east allies in the War on Terror. The UAE captured Al-Naffouri, an al qaeda big shot who master-minded the U.S.S. Cole attack. The turned him over to the CIA upon capturing him. This Arab nation is our ally.

The Bush administration needs to honor this contract of the sale of the DPW to the United Arab Emirates. It should also keep ultra-strict oversight over the company's operations, as it has done while the DPW was under British control. Thanks for the read, you've been a great crowd.

The Left overplays their Cheney-dealt hand

If any of you good folks out there have subjected yourselves to the onslaught on the current administration, you know where I'm going with this. You have heard every smear imaginable on Vice President Cheney and the left deperately trying to make this story a big deal. Well ladies and gentlemen, here is how you responded: according to the latest Rasmussen poll, 27% of the American public thinks this story is a big deal. While 57% say this is no big deal, give us real news again. Why did the Vice President go to the fair and balanced FOX News? Could he simply not take the flames that liberal media has been throwing at him? Actually, a simple glance at the cable news ratings will tell you that FOX has the most viewers of any news network. And Brit Hume's show is all on Washington. To the kooks, I say to you, "Don't blame it on the messenger." I don't make up the facts. I simply report them. Lets hope the media lends an ear this way and gets back to some genuine journalism so that I may get back to shedding light on new and pertinent stories. Thanks for the read, you've been a great crowd.

Hillary weighs in on Cheney

Well now it is official, anyone can speak out against a Republican elected official, no matter their track record, and make a splash in the liberal main-stream media. Yesterday, on Capitol Hill, Senator Clinton made this statement, "The refusal of this administration to level with the American people on matters large and small is...very disturbing." This administration is not refusing to level with anyone. Katharine Armstrong, the property owner of the field of the incident wanted her claim to fame and requested that she be first to report the news to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. Vice President Cheney agreed and she was first to report the story. I guess it is unfortunate for the media that there are no other big stories at this time. I guess the Hamas terrorists in Palestine were just elected, Muslim riots and killing seemingly going to a new level over these cartoons, and the turning over of power of our East coast ports to a United Arab emeritus firm.
On to the credibility of our criticized, Hillary Clinton. Now, most of you remember that a terrorist attack occurred on U.S. soil during 2001. Many more readers are very sure that our President and his cabinet could have provented this attack while still others feel Mr. Bush orchestrated it himself. Well, a few other events happened over the course of this year, one of which involves Senator Clinton. Mrs. Clinton was busy "leveling with the American people on her brother Hugh Rodham, a lawyer, and his actions. He was ordered to return $400,000 in fees that was given to him in exchange for a lobbying effort towards a presidential pardon. How she respond when asked about his actions? "I knew nothing about that, and, uhh, I had no knowledge." Another area in question was Vince Foster's death. Here is how she answered the press, "I didn't know about his involvement at all. It was not an area that I practiced in. It was not an area that I really know anything, to speak of, about. I can tell you what I know, which is that I did not know that Vince had any of the documents related to our personal business in his office until after his death." Though she did know about the suicide note and she kept it from being released for 30 hours! I believe Mrs. Clinton's track record may speak for itself. Thanks for the read, you've been a great crowd.

Super Bowl eXtra Large

Super Bowl XL has come and gone and with it goes another NFL season into the books. We have witnessed yet one more great year of football culminating with a Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Championship. I had the privalege of watching this Steeler team on several occasions throughout the year and saw in it several elements seen in the New England Patriots the past two seasons. We have all heard the comparisons being made of Big Ben and Tom Brady and yes, they are mostly true. Both QB's are proven winners who usually don't have the flashy stats, but do what they need to do to get the job done. That has to be every coach's dream. The overall Steeler team is unselfish (with a possible exception in LB Joey Porter) and had one common vision - to win the Super Bowl, for the Bus's last stop.
Jerome Bettis aluded to that fact during the Championship presentation and any post on this team could not be complete without mentioning him. Jerome has been the driving force behind a grind-it-out offense that is so relentless and in its own way fun to watch over the past decade. You will be missed, Jerome, but I wish you success in whatever you do next.
The Super Bowl is over, but I will take this oppurtunity and the next posts to come to make a shameless plug to watch CBS golf's coverage of the PGA Tour, especially its next stop this weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. For more info visit the pga's official website at http://pgatour.com
